What is the value of health? Priceless! ... this is what most people would say, but in a life that is busy with responsibilities and commitments, how invested are we in living a holistic lifestyle that nurtures our body, soul, and spirit? What is health or a healthy life style? What does it mean to be healthy? Is it merely siloed into eating healthy and spending countless hours at the gym? Definitely not! Holistic wellness is not just about our physical body, it’s also about our mental and emotional wellbeing and the flow of energy between them.
Mental and emotional bodies are two types of behaviours. Mental behaviour is more concerned with the mind and what we think of ourselves, like negative self-talk, self-esteem, and confidence.
Emotional behaviour is more concerned with the heart and what we feel like: joy, sadness, stress, excitement anger, grief, etc. Both can cause physical symptoms. Our stressful lifestyles and negative self-talk impacts our bodies and might cause physical diseases. If we don’t deal with our negative feelings/emotions, they will show up in our physical reality in one way or another, over and over again, until we learn the lesson and/or heal the wound.
So what can we do to better our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing? There are many options out there to choose from. Be it through a physical detox (celery juice, ionic foot detox); some form of physical activity; mental and emotional detox such as energy healing, yoga, salt caves, meditation, reiki. Pick one or two :) and give it a try! Whatever you choose; tap in into your creative side and do things that bring you joy and happiness. The options are endless, The key is to find something that works for you and your body and to go from there.
Want to start today? I will give you this assignment: First thing in the morning, before even getting out of the bed, think of something or someone in your life that you are grateful for. Hold that feeling for a couple of minutes while breathing from your stomach. Gratitude is one of the highest energy frequencies. So start the day with gratitude in your hearts and see how your life changes!
For the upcoming new decade, let us all make a New Year’s resolution: to find a holistic balance that nourishes our physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing within ourselves; to fall in love with taking care of ourselves; mind, body, and spirit.
